Business Overview 

Sytner Group has grown from being a single car dealership in 1968 to employing more than 7000 people in over 100 dealerships across the UK, with a growing presence in Italy, Germany and Spain.

As an extremely successful business, Sytner Group has recognised that their workforce is a big driver of their growth yet the diverse locations and demographics have always been a challenge.

The challenge 

Sytner Group approached Xexec in late 2014 to implement an engaging and demonstrable staff voluntary benefit scheme. 

Sytner Group had a more basic offering at the time which wasn’t particularly well utilised and, as a part of its focus on employee engagement, was seeking to appoint a provider which had a strong track record in delivering a solution that would offer real value to its growing workforce. It was important for the scheme to recognise the diverse geographic and financial demographic of the audience. 

The key was to provide an interactive solution that delivered savings for employees whilst at the same time demonstrating a clear ROI for the employer.

The solution 

Xexec created a bespoke employee benefits portal encompassing many legacy Sytner benefits that had been displayed in an ad-hoc manner and bringing them through a centralised portal.

The highlight of the offering is the access to over 3000 vendors all offering discounts on every facet of an employee’s day-to-day needs. These include discounts at all major supermarkets, department stores, fashion brands, electricals and computing, DIY, travel and of course on Sytner’s own cars. Additionally, Xexec offered access to its Travel Concierge, a bespoke travel service that takes the stress out of booking a holiday and offers great benefits and discounts including upgrades and lounge access. 

The Outcome 

The Xexec / Sytner offering has been a great success with an extremely high engagement level amongst staff and outstanding website usage. Sytner has achieved the impressive feat of featuring on the Sunday Times ‘Best Big Companies to Work For 2016’ list in a top-5 position and is working with Xexec to do everything possible to ‘attract, motivate and retain the very best team members’.

Despite being one of the larger and better-known charities, they are still bound by financial constraints and the ongoing universal challenge of motivating and engaging their staff. Hence, CRUK has always had to be more innovative with the way that they reward and motivate their team. Not only that, but CRUK has loyal dedicated staff who often go far above and beyond what is expected of them, because they feel so passionately about the organisation. CRUK wanted to be able to reward these efforts by offering their staff a bespoke employee discount portal, housing thousands of discounts and benefits.

Customer Loyalty

A leading global bank with very strong credit card and wealth management businesses, with customers across the world. The client has some strong premium credit card businesses in Russia, UAE, Egypt, Poland, Czech Republic and France. The bank approached Xexec to run a campaign to target key customers of its wealth management and credit card businesses.

Member Loyalty

Our client is a leading membership body in the UK with a member base comprising mass affluent to affluent professionals. As savvy consumers they have had access to other member benefit packages but these were not particularly successful. On the recommendation of an existing client, the membership body engaged Xexec to work on implementing key retention tools.
